For starters I think doing a regular booster draft (get 5 boosters, build a 40 card deck with that) over Lackey can be really attractive to non regular players.. and can get a hold of regular play without having to go over 1000+ cards.
Problem is.. i have no idea how to get boosters over Lackey.

Booster drafts are really difficult to do, actually. Sealed games aren't, because in the deck editor Lackey has the ability to give you random boosters.
What we used to run was sealed games in the current set. M13 wouldn't be a bad set to do, either.

http://ccgdecks.com  has a nice draft simulator that at the end you can copy and paste into lackey. Usually drafts are 8 people with 3 packs each. the draft simulator can fill in with bots if we dont have 8 people

Not any tourny things, if anything we can do 2013 sealed decks, or just construct our own fun/not op (READ: leave your fucking squirrells, rats, and other broken decks at home) decks

I vote sealed or draft. Construct your own will inevitably end up with someone having an OP deck, whether intended or not.

I can't help it. With no restrictions I'll try to come up with awesome (aka OP) shit. If we do end up with build your own, at least there should be a limit on rares/uncommons in people's decks.
