Does anyone play? i just downloaded LackeyCCG to play magic for free with all the cards available.  Trying to figure it out if anyone wants to give it a go.

4: Deck editor tab
pretty self explanitory.. many filters on the left for finding cards
name the deck in the text entry field (white) near the top
save

5: playin games
server tab
find server and connect button .. click.
then you'll be in the lobby for the first time click "host a game.." button (underneath the list of game rooms open) just so the program can do a test on your network
i dont imagine you'll be playing against pubs, so whoever you're playing with could also make game.
once you're both in the same game go back to the Deck Editor tab and theres a button "load to you" between the index of cards and your card library click that one to get your game started.

6: game on  -- whoever you're playing aganst will be able to instruct you on how to get the rounds sorted out.. and the game really lets the rules and rule enforcement fall to the players.

it looks like magic workstation has a 40 day limit.  lackey is free and has all the cards and shit.

you have to download the program and the magic plugin separately.  It's needlessly complicated.  You have to go to the plugin tab in the preferrences, find where it says plugin info, select magic, and then select medium or high (i think this is for the size of the card pictures).  It should put an URl into the autoupdate field.  select update from url, wait until it downloads, restart lackey, and then load the magic plugin.  then you can start building decks and getting online.

Always thought about this, but does the program actually make it fair to play?  And more than rock paper scissors?  IE if someone builds one deck is it easy to come loaded with a counter deck?  Or worse, does it become a crapshoot with the decks you've brought?

Lackey is like the least intuitive program ever.  after another hour of fucking around with it, i've managed to build some decks, but i can't figure out how to run a round efficiently.

Yea the interface is pretty terrible, if it bugs you that much I forgot to mention that magic workstation is free as well, the only real limitations are being unable to make your own cards or customize your multiplayer avatar. As far as I remember the 40 day limit doesn't actually stop you from playing they just ask you to register and you can simply close the notification box

I have no prob in teaching you :3, i've teached before (mostly girlfriends that i have to teach them how to play so they don't get bored on tournaments)
