Guild Wars BRBU style

So based on the moderate interest in MMORPGs gained by the WoW crew and the fact that GW seems to fit the bill for a newbs first foray into these games I'm thinking about putting together a group to play it.  From what I understand I think its mostly 30 mans instanced questing so I want to see what kind of interest there is in people returning to this game or trying it out.  I think we should start with the base game and go from there.  If there is enough people to make a BRBU guild of good-for-nothings I'd be willing to run out and spend some of my gift card money on 2 copies for me and my wife.

I was also hoping to pull some of the oldies that left for similar type games like Kor, VD, and ainmosni.  So if there is any way to rope you guys in let me know.

You can get the client there, also I have no idea about the server.  I was kind of hoping someone that's played would pop in and lead us.

I have the the base game(Prophecies) and I also have Factions. Gimme a time and a date and I'll be glad to help walk you guys through what I know
Also the biggest instance groups get is about 8 or so(for the base game atleast iono about the others).

Eeehhhhuuhhh... are we going to be doing PvE or PvP?  I'd like to PvE 'cause I couldn't do jack shit right in GW PvP.  Not that I tried much.

I gravitated towards healer in FF11, but I haven't messed with it much in GW.  I like to play Warrior / Mesmer.  I thought that was a nice combo.

[/quote]after the first zone it cuts down in download speed quite a bit

I have a necro/elementalist that can run people through fairly quick, and a warrior/ranger or ranger/warrior can't remember, if we all want to be on the same level

yes, but pvp characters are useless if you haven't played PvE. all the skills for pvp characters you get through playing PvE, and you're going to get raped if you don't have some elite skills (refer to guildwiki for more info.)
