I wish there was less sequels and more original IP's brought to the market.

I think there's something to say for both, for example you could almost say that all of the FF games are each their own IP just all under one name since no two FF games have the same story/combat system
When I loaded the page i saw... New/Original IP: Spore Sequals: Mercs 2 Viva Pinata Trouble in Paradise Rockband 2 Socom Fallout 3 Fable 2 Liscensed: Force Unleashed TNA Impact Unfortunately Spore for the most part is disappointing considering what it should have been, most of the sequels that I'm looking forward to are also set up to disappoint (see Fallout 3). Force Unleashed looks like it might be good though... Â Sig by Joel |

Well, there are more than one Flash games out there that offer refreshing takes on old gameplay styles. Â Look at "Alien Hominid", which I purchased and enjoyed (briefly, but still). Â It's a hard-as-nails side-scroller shooter with original characters and a potentially endearing art style. Â It was born as a Newgrounds Flash game and got its ass published on home consoles. Â I want more of this type of thing to happen.

in before Final Fantasy XIII
You think that's bad, just look at movies. All the completely original movies in the last year, good or bad. Original Movies I can name off the top of my head: Cloverfield Indiana Jones 4 (at least it's original) Kung Fu Panda Hancock Mummy 3 |

None of the games connect with each other, also FFIV, and VI are the best of the bunch, its not like everything goes down hill after I (Ref Also Mario 3, Megaman II and III). Â Sig by Joel |

I have faith that LittleBigPlanet will be awesome, Dead Space might not suck and Left 4 Dead will make me fail my exams unless it gets delayed again (which is almosty certain)
I know Fallout 3 will suck as a fallout game :'(, but I'll try to enjoy it as an Oblivion expansion |

If you're going to try and make a point on this then you need to provide a complete argument. What is the difference between pirating old games and pirating new games ? |

[/quote] They're also NOT putting out a demo, if I play it and feel its absolute shit I likely won't finish the game. They don't lose a sale and I feel like a savvy consumer for having not wasted my money on a piece of shit game. Just because a game is new doesn't make it worth paying for, I reserve my hard earned cash for games I feel are *GOOD*, while this is a subjective manner, I also reserve pirating for not supporting companies like EA. I liked Maxis, I liked Westwood, I liked Black Isle, those studios no longer exist, but their franchises do. To be raped by incompetent dev teams and dictating managers that have likely never played a game in their life. Bethesda can die in a fire too, wasted $50 on Oblivion, which was the largest kiddie pool of an RPG I've ever played. Hell I've played RPGs on the NES and Gameboy that had more depth, and thats fucking pathetic given that a lot of old constraints on what developers can do has been removed. I will not waste $50 on Fallout 3 and neither should you.  Sig by Joel |

If I like something enough, I buy it.
If I don't like it, I don't play it OR buy it. |
