Savage raised some good points, even though he has fun being Ken Griefey Jr., so he can pl0x diaf. I'm with him.

With the other classes, the approach Valve took - as they said in their blog - was to find a weak point of a class, and give them an upgrade that would mitigate the weakness, taxing other skills that were formerly strong.

Heavy - pretty bad at killing scouts, gets Natascha so he can kill scouts, suffers consequences in other areas.
Pyro - was pretty suicidal to ambush a large enemy force, got BB Q_Q, can now survive a well-placed ambush and can even do well.

...

Scout - was pretty good at harassment and evasion, got even better at harassment and evasion. WTF.

Valve was trying to be clever with the scout unlockable. In my opinion, they would have been better off giving the scout a melee weapon that does more damage with a slower swing speed, like a maul for something. I'm tired of getting two crits on soldier, yet they still have enough life to take another two blows before aiming down and turning me into a mess on the floor... and then walk away from it.

I also agree.

I generally believe that a game should be left as it is for the most part; you don't have to love it or even like it, but things such as the Sandman are another part of the game and that they should stay.

I've never been a fan of restricting certain aspects of the game unless they are completely broken.  There are a few things that definitely need to be fixed (stunning ubers and point blank stuns have got to go) but I don't think it is bad enough to warrant a ban until Valve addresses it which I would hope they are in the process of doing.

The average pub player -can- do something with a 6 second long stun from medium range. See also: Kill your ass with a stupidly borked weapon.  They're too stupid to use double jump correctly, but not too stupid to press mouse 1 a few times.
