Server Changes (Starting Tonight)

I wanted to save a bit of time, but oh what the heck

Starting tonight there will be three changes that I hope most of you will be very happy to see  :-*


First off, all "silly" maps will be moved off the voting list on #1, they will still be available to change to by admin during FNF

Second, #2 will be taking all of the maps removed from server #1 and running only those maps, in addition to some others, so if you want to play balloon_race, pac_man, donkey_kong, bess_jump, ect. You can get your fix here. We've been continually trying to come up with some formula to get people to play on #2, whether it be all stocks or serious business, I hope this will entice both some of you that love these maps, as well as potential randoms to play here more.

Last and most certainly not least - I have added a trial #3 - 63.215.74.23:27015 - Located in Los Angeles, this will be STOCK-ONLY


The LA server is temporary pending popularity and donations, currently between the l4d server and now two tf2 servers the account drains nearly $100 a month (if we keep the LA Server). I will replicate all admin access and reserve lists on the new #3 as well. It will run at a minimum for a month and I will be throwing $100 of my own money onto this so at least if #3 doesn't get used it all it won't eat into any donation money anyone else has throw down.

Any thoughts, questions or concerns?

Unfortunately yes, the price to put a server in Amsterdam was +$0.50 USD a slot, making it 25% more expensive

If you ping 100 to the Chicago server you will probably ping 150 to the LA one

As far as I know, #1 is mixture of stock and thoroughly vetted custom, #2 is silly "for fun" customs only, and #3 is 100% stock to get the population going and is on the west coast.

Well I rather like custom maps and my ping to the Chicago server has never been that bad when it's working right.  So brb #1 is still always gonna be my first choice.  I just always had problems with server #2 and the mod server, being waaaaay the fuck out east.
