Anyways. I found this idea somewhere else about a replacement for the scattergun that starts off with low damage, but each consecutive hit with it makes the next shot even powerful. Basicly, if you were to fire 5 shots at someone and hit every time, the next person you shoot would get the full blast. After every reload the counter goes back down to one.  It seems like a pretty good idea, probably could be appled to the bat or something.

At point blank, yeah. And the important part of the blog post that we're all overlooking is that the weapons are being developed to help newer players and not be broken in the hands of veterans so...brace for crap.

Started with the pyro update, which they eventually fixed, continued with the heavy  :-\

Well all of the melee weapons upgrades have been more or less useful (as useful as they can be for the respective classes), and Scout is a class that could really benefit from a new one, so that's the part I'm most interested in.
