So is liking Soccer Practice gayer than liking Circus? Also, I own the album if that makes a difference. It rules gay. it seems BNGD turns people gay D: |

Dear Radio,
Might I suggest you try out different music than what's on mainstream radio/tv stations? My ears and sanity thank you in advance. Your friend, ainmosni. Signature temporarily out of order until I get off my lazy ass to fix it. |

Of course there are exceptions but it seems more like they create the demand for their supply instead of supplying an already existing demand. They pump out loads of template based music and then play on teenagers insecurity by having some 'cool' guy/girl on TV/Radio say that this is the new hot thing. Said teenager wants to belong to a group and will conform to belong to a group. When they see this 'cool' guy/girl say that this is the new big thing they will buy/listen to it because they say it's popular and it will make belonging to a group easier. This in turn will generate sales of the thing the TV/Radio was hyping and actually make it the 'next big thing'. And then this cycle repeats again because the industry needs to make money and in the end that's the only thing it cares about. Not making art, just making money. This is the same reason I dislike video clips because it made the appearance of an artist more important than the music they make. Going so far that musical geniuses that don't look that 'hot' have to make other people perform their stuff if they want to make their music popular. Of course there are exceptions but I just don't like the bucket loads of template based money oriented shit that is coming out... Music should be an art form, not an industry.
