Mass Errect

I'm planning on a Commander Shepard / Mass Effect N7 get up for next year.

Step 1: Prop planning.

Since it's always easier to have someone else do the work for you, I purchased a 'blueprint' from Volpin Props and printed it to scale:
   

I plan to build it as a one-off out of various layers of MDF. 
So enter photoshop and the eraser tool to make outlines for each layer:
   
   

Once I cut and router these layers, I'll laminate them and start on the barrels and details.
