so...I tried an fps config a day or two ago (I put the commands in autoexec.cfg, not the main config file), didn't like it, so I deleted it from my autoexec. But my character models were still fucked up. After deleting my config several times and a complete reinstall of TF2 today, they still look like this:

Did you tried reinstalling TF2? and updating (or downgrading) your Drivers if that's the problem? And, did your FPS went higher after that? i don't care if my character models look like shit as long as i can play fine on the brb.u server (damn you 200+ ping)

Looks like the models are having a rendering issue as they only have flat colors, Id try various driver iterations and/or deleting the model data and redownloading it

You can try deleting your 'cfg' folder in TF2.
Should be somewhere like: C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\<your steam name>\Team Fortress 2\tf\cfg |

Oh, you tried an fps config? Lol! Running the game with "-dxlevel 95 -autoconfig" in the launch options. Run it, then remove those settings from your launch options.
Lemme know if that fixes it :3 edit: finally looked at the screenshots, looks pretty much like what I've seen people have problems with in the past Ripped like paper raped with ease hey scrub nerd pyros suck on these |

I had this same problem a while back (and I think I posted a thread with an identical title too).
It's an issue with your DirectX going to 8.0 or something. Try reinstalling your directX stuff, and use the fix FuckDuck suggested. |
