Hi.  I'm Xineoph, and I'm new around here.

Surf has been telling me about this community for a while now, and I broke down finally.

As far as gaming goes, I've devoted far too much time in my life to WoW and EVE, but don't currently play those games.  I tend to enjoy the MMO platform more since I'd prefer to develop a character over time, and I haven't gotten that feeling out of many FPS games.  I've really enjoyed Borderlands and Borderlands 2, however.  I also play a bunch of board & table top games.

In the summer, I sail.  In the winter, I long to go sailing.  In the spring and fall I complain about how I can't go sailing.  Fire, beer and boats also factor into my interests.  I've done some amateur woodworking/carving, and blacksmithing, but not nearly enough.

So, yes.  Blame Surf.

I played Guildwars 2 pretty heavy for a few months, but it dropped off when October came around.  Just after I finished capping some crafting skills.

Haven't tried Star Trek Online. I'll check into it, though.  I've been between games, sort of.

STO is F2P and a new expansion dropped, but it's not hard to get all the way to endgame PvE/PvP content in a week or two of playing an hour or two a day. Dtrain & I have been playing a couple years, it's good times.

It's codename was "Shamu" for a reason. I know we're in the age of "phablets" but dayum, that's a Note competitor if I've ever seen one.
