Supposedly hotel reg is opening on the 19th, so if we could grab days for the 7th - 10th at the Hilton that would be best. I got lucky this year but I think anyone who wants to attend would like to avoid the ACEN stealth release fiasco that just happened.

I really want to go to one of these, but $300+ for travel is way outside of my budget... (and that's excluding whatever other expenses I may incur that weekend)... fuck I need to win a lottery or at least get a job that pays more than 36k/year if I'm working full-time (which I don't).

Shit, if I had that kind of money, I'd have a real computer...

At first, my wife was excited for Sailor Moon Crystal.  Then she remembered that she staffs the kareoke room.  I told her to sell raffle tickets for the chance to sing Moon Pride.  Our friend Rob, instead, suggested renting pitchforks and torches.

I'm fairly certain I'm a no go:  I'm on orders every weekend this month, and it looks like every weekend next month except the 8th, which i will spend sleeping. 

Brigade level staff positions stuck- it's almost like being deployed, but without the excitement of being shot at, or the satisfaction of shooting back.

FYI I swapped my room over to Pie, and he's looking for roommates to split the tab, it's a reservation for a room with two double beds on Friday night & Saturday night. Surf, I'm looking at you.

If I'm in town at all that weekend, I'll try to make an appearance (I bought a badge back in March, so that money's already spent), but I'm not feeling super optimistic about life right now so I don't know what the chances of that are going to be. With my luck, they'll send me to bumfuck Mexico that weekend.

Soooooo the wife an I have to work Thursday and Friday and she has to work Saturday until 11. We are a no-go for the con because it is way too steep to pay $160 for two half days of attendance.

However, we are down to go to Baltimore for Saturday night shenanigans. Is there a meet-up or something we could *uhhh* meet up with you guys for?
