I didn't think it qualified for its own thread nor did "random DS games" have a thread of its own, but I just wanted to say that I've been playing the DS game Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors and completely fell in love with it. Easily one of the best DS games I have played, a must-have dare I say. I'm currently playing through the sequel right now and digging it as well.
So this is essentially an advertisement. Buy it. |

Fireworks on the Charles are pretty swell, and iirc the Pops doing a free outdoor concert (skip the concert imo, it is hell finding seating). Duck tours are maybe a touristy thing to do, dunno if that'd be down your alley or not. Beware the humidity though, Boston summers are worse than Texas imo. Unless you're Houston. Seriously, fuck Houston. Ripped like paper raped with ease hey scrub nerd pyros suck on these |

Also, paging Eschatos: If you're wanting to checkout the 4th of July fireworks in Boston, it's going to be tomorrow (Thursday the 3rd). From what I recall, Memorial Drive offered a pretty good riverside view. Bonus points, it's Cambridge-side, and MIT Campus is literally right there. You can probably harass someone in Lobby 7 (first big build at 77 Mass Ave with the loud-ass fucking crossing signal) to ask where tours are, or just follow all the short asian families with cameras. If you're into that sort of thing. MIT Museum is also kind of cool, and across the street from my old dorm (282-290 Mass Ave or thereabouts)
City of Boston @NotifyBoston Reminder: Fireworks Spectacular has been moved to THURSDAY, JULY 3. #july4th #boston For other ideas on what to do in and around Boston, I'd possibly harass Savage or Mongoose? for more ideas. Savage is busy becoming a lawyer or something, but they might be able to offer touristy ideas. The geese at Boston Common are cool if you're into that sort of thing (I was) Ripped like paper raped with ease hey scrub nerd pyros suck on these |

Today was a nightmare of work. I've been micromanaging projects while my boss is on vacation - a new skill for me. There was also a large deposit in my bank today which I don't know what to make of. It's either a mistake or not. I won't be able to answer that anytime soon either. So overall feeling confused and overwhelmed.

Hi all, I'm back  from South East Asia ;D ;D
It's 6am, and for the past four days I've been waking up to see the sunrise every day at 4. This sounds romantic, but it's really just terrible Jetlag messing with my system. 2 months ago, when we arrived in Bangkok, I had no problem adjusting to the time difference. Coming back it's been an entirely different story. If it keeps up I'll take a handful of Melatonin to try resetting my sleep pattern. Today, I'm driving 3 hours to the town where we'll be going to school to look at apartments and I can get out of this awkward situation of living in my Mom's basement temporarily as quickly as humanly possible. Things are getting weird fast, her boyfriend's kids are going to be spending the weekend here. They're wieners. We took a metric fuck-ton of pictures between the two of us, so I'll post those up when I get a chance. But quickly, Thailand has a cancerous tourism industry that is poisoning the southern areas near the Islands. In the north however, it's beautiful. We spent the last two weeks of our trip after travelling 26 hours from Kep in Southern Cambodia to a little town in a valley surrounded by mountains called Pai. That was my favorite time of the entire Vacation because people didn't want anything from us, we were free to do whatever we wanted without being hassled or hawked at. Oh I also had a layover in Chicago when the Tornado warning hit and our flight was cancelled, I was going to see if any of the beautiful native Chicagonians around here had a spare couch to crash on, but by the time it was possible to look into that I wouldn't have wanted to be on the road. [/quote] What I meant was that if it's not yours, then OK, problem solved. If it is yours, you can contact them and get a replacement item. Alternatively, the bank can identify the name on the deposit. I do that all the time. |
