MAGFest is the music and gaming festival that takes place at National Harbor, MD. This year it's going to be held during January 2nd - January 5th. All your traditional con fare (panels, cosplay, merchcon, partying) plus tons of awesome video game music bands playing every night ranging from chip tunes to funk fusion, and a giant gaming section with a wide range of arcade cabs, consoles, and even table top games. Some of the guests this year include Tommy Tallarico, JonTron, and Darren Korb (composer for Bastion). National Harbor and nearby Old Town Alexandria are both beautiful towns and have plenty to see and do as well with lots of restaurants, nightlife, and even a dueling piano bar.Â
I've got a room booked so if anyone else is interested in going this year let me know and I've got some space for you. EDIT: Room no longer booked. I'm planning to stay with some other friends now so I will probably cancel my reservation.

Thinking about it. I'd like to attend with someone who's actually been there before, the last time I went it really sucked.

I want to go to this some year...but with Otakon-Vegas the next weekend, I can't afford both
