They said no nanite gals cause they want the whole logistics thing to be a factor so theres a reason to drive (and intercept, fight over, etc) over plots of land near resource mines while a gal would pretty much make all of that invalid
That said I'm having visions of a future loadstar with a sundy/ANT on board from warpgate or wherever dropping some juicy ANT goodness on bases to give em power |

If the resources were located at the small bases it would give a good reason to fight over them.

I actually agree with this, make the satellite bases separate from the lattice but connected to the major points for resources. Right now on lattice it's all one-way-fighting (without having to watch your back too much) which to me just isn't as fun. Re-implementing the satellite bases (even on Lattice), making them the resource points, means there will be a much larger battle, and a more interesting spread to it. |

[/quote] Oh god this Also, Easmir update is both a blessing and a curse - the base designs are much better for infantry fights but it makes vehicles slightly less important (they still are good for in-between bases, but once you get to one, might as well ditch it). I suspect when the ANT update rolls out, vehicles will be hugely important as the battle gets stretched out beyond just being in the walls of a base but also at these resource points that can only be harvested by other vehicles |
