Video Uploading Place

So to help alleviate DropBox usage I decided to throw up a subdomain at TunedChaos.com for brbu video uploading. Here's the deal, there is only one FTP User, do NOT abuse it, those with access to this forum are considered "Video Uploaders", that means you can place raw videos on here as according to dreamhost we have "Unlimited" space. So should be fine. But there's some ground rules and set ups.

Currently Stored Video: 85GB

• First up, this is an FTP User Only (No SSH) and only one account
  
• Second up, you must create a folder using your community known name.
  
• This means in the full FTP Path I would show as brbu.tunedchaos.com/brbu.tunedchaos.com/FlyingMongoose (this is linux server so the file names ARE CASE SENSITIVE)
  
• This makes my file linking as follows http://brbu.tunedchaos.com/FlyingMongoose/moviefile.avi
  
• Do NOT overwrite, or delete other people's files!
  
  

This is linked to a publicly visible Subdomain, so if someone goes to brbu.tunedchaos.com it WILL show the placeholder page (for now). If someone knows your folder they will see it UNLESS you have an htaccess enabled. On that note, you may wish to learn how to use an htaccess file.

Downloaded Filezilla and started uploading all of my 35-ish vids. Let me know if I am not doing something the way it should be done. I've never used a FTP client before.

Just download Filezilla. I was able to figure it out from there. Super intuitive.

Just type in the info Mongoose provided to get connected and then make a new folder with your name and just drag and drop all you videos in there.


Only concern I have is that it'll take a few months to complete my uploads...

There's, unfortunately, no way that I can actually increase your upload speeds...
And Didzo, you're doing it exactly as requested. For a direct link example for you it is as follows

It's not letting me login. I copy/pasted the info you gave and tried to connect with Plain FTP. Perhaps because of Didzo? Although he should be done by now...?
