So my friends are going to a nearby con ( I don't even know what it is called =X ) and they invited me, so I decided why not. Anyway, being not-such-a-big-anime-fan as I am, it wouldn't be worth it unless I had a cool costume. So I decided to go as one of my favorite characters from MSPaint. You know him, you love him, it's...
Motherlovin' Problem Sleuth. I picked PS in part because I loved PS so much, partly because it looks like a really easy and cheap one, and partly just in spite of all the Homestuck obsession. Don't get me wrong, I love Homestuck, but everyone and their mother is a troll it looks like. So I was thining something like this: That exact one is about my price range but that site looks sketchy. Most white men's double breasted trenches are expense. If I could get one incredibly cheap, like second hand or at a thrift store I was considering cutting off the sleeves and wearing a long sleeve black shirt underneath, like this: But that could also look incredibly silly. I would wear black slacks and white shoes, acquire a white hat of the appropriate style, acwuire some black leather gloves, and ideally make up my face to be totally white. Tommy gun optional but preferred. I'm sure there are all sorts of rules about fake guns at cons and I don't want to freak someone out. Nice and simple. Any thoughts? |

Yea that site looks rather sketchy. Besides making your own(rather easy actually), you're best bet is to scour the local thrift stores for a white trench coat (Don't neglect the women's section if you can find one in your size I think more women wear white coats than men). I'd say don't cut off the sleeves. Unless you wanted to go for the Seto Kaiba look lol.

People have described me as a lot of things, but crafty is not one of them, buying is my only real choice. I don't suppose dying a khaki one white would be viable?
Also yeah, white is really not a men's trench color. |

No, khaki/anything to white is difficult. Maybe if you used KOH on it (I accidentally got some on my brown pants once and now it has white spots haha).

Yeah, getting anything not-white to white is hard, that's more of a Bleaching or Painting job than a Dyeing job.
