I take it that's new content areas with Gravelord?  I been messing with Gravelord myself right now, only beat a few low level bosses (Taurus, Capra, Moonlight) before going and getting it, so I can drop use it in lower level areas >=o.  I actually worked out how I can probably get it before beating ANY bosses as well, though Capra probably has to go so I have access to Basilisks.  His area is probably the smallest in the game anyways though.

I've been attempting to gravelord with my main character, and it sucks.  I place down the sign, no indication if it's actually working, and then I wait for ages while nothing happens to me.  I have not once been counter-invaded by a victim of my gravelording.  I'm probably gonna switch to darkmoon or darkwraith pretty soon.

The sign with the Gravelord appears where you are standing, so it's kind of weird.  You need to stand somewhere obvious, but not where they wouldn't actually run into any of the new enemies first.  The problem is they did not make it so if someone dies in a cursed world, you get something.  I believe people who's world's are not even cursed by you can see your sign to invade you.  I got someone to invade through it once, but the problem is you're more likely to get stupid Darkwraiths invading, since that covenant is broken and dumb.

Anyway, it's a good covenant to use while I am doing school work, I can just keep the game open while I stand somewhere, and then alt-tab over if I get an invasion message XP.  And it's not as useless as the Dragon one anyways.  It amuses me how this game ended up being even more experimental than Demon's Souls, even if things didn't exactly end up balanced well.  I hope they get to make another one and fine tune some of the ideas for multiplayer into something that is more functional for all the choices.

I actually got gravelorded today in Undead Burg on my new character, which was a little underwhelming since I found his sign before seeing any of the extra enemies and easily killed him.



On a side note I have a new favorite character. I decided to build a character focused solely on using the Demon Great Hammer at the lowest level possible.  Havel I was able to kill in four hits despite him being one of the toughest dudes in the entire game.  Really looking forward to trying Hammersmash out in PVP.

So I got this as a gift during the amazon sale. I was wandering around the Depths when I got my first invader (stayed hollow as much as I could before)...

Never before has my heart pounded so hard playing a game. I tried to stay at range lobbing fireballs, but with as many souls and humanity I had, I was terrified of dying. I took a few scratches, but I was able to finish him off. That kind of victory just feels so damn good.


... then I got nomed by the Gaping Dragon. :-\

WRONG FORUM.  Souls has leveled up to the Master Race.  The gameplay demo was shown on the PC version even  8).  Also not looking at any media for the game til I am playing it, coz' not knowing is half the fun.
