I had a project in zoology where I did some research on the Vampire Finch; they sometimes peck at and drink the blood of Blue-footed and Nazca Boobies of the Galapagos Islands.

AMC's and my highlander team won the last match of our regular season. We trimmed the roster, learned how to communicate and work as a team, and after a whole season of "Mighty Ducks"-style tripping over our own potential, we held them off and won the first two stopwatch rounds.

well, i pulled a new contract. 9 months and i will be hired on if i like the job. i'll be installing low voltage security systems (and other related devices) in various buildings in the twin cities area. Do we have anyone that lives in MN? I'll be there monday through thursday then they drive me back home in wisconsin for a three day weekend. it pays 12 bucks an hour but i live for free when i'm on the job pretty much and i will likely move up in pay raise as soon as i get hired on.

So, a month after nearly carpet-bombing professors and getting an interview or two, I finally landed a position as a lab on campus. Starting winter, I'll be a research associate 8). Added bonus, it's in my field of study: Physiology (specifically, the research is on the microenvironment of the mammalian retina).
