I'm mostly sad my hardcover doesn't match my paperbacks at all. It's not even green like it was originally supposed to be @_@ |

Considering how much
underage & incestuous
sex is in these things, I'm surprised it doesn't have a pink cover. But then they'd have to break them all down to <200 pages. I think that's contributing as much as anything else, although I'm really enjoying them.

The underage sex isn't an issue in the actual universe, as there is no "age of consent" other than the girls are able to have sex after they get their first period. |

Just finished reading this book. It's the first book I've read all the way through since the 5th grade probably. My girlfriend wanted me to read it. Easy read. Interesting, with quite a twist at the end. It's about these twin girls. One is like a cutter and throws up n shit. The other gets molested by her father does drugs and what not. Pretty fucked up stuff. Unfortunatly I couldn't really relate to anyone in the book, besides maybe one guy just a little bit. Everyone is just a little fucked in this book. Finished reading this for summer homework, going into AP Statistics. Interesting, and makes you never want to believe stats again, without knowing a deep background of the stat it self. KataKlipse [Meow!]: Was today macho of me? +|FFG|+ SUPER MACHO MAN: Very. +|FFG|+ SUPER MACHO MAN: *flex* KataKlipse [Meow!]: Hell YES! 3clipse|brb.u|: so are we best buddies? dapngwnman: lol what? 3clipse|brb.u|: lol hahaha dapngwnman: that was extremely creepy sir |

And onto a "Dance with Dragons". Feast certainly wasn't quite as good as the previous two and was missing characters, but the little paragraph at the end of the book explaining that Feast and Dragons are more one book than two separate ones waylaid that bit of disappointment. Not gonna wait for paperback, so hopefully I can get the hardcover cheap on Amazon.

Mine's in the mail as I type this. I thought Feast was decent in the regard that is really beefed out the secondary characters. The brilliance in the story telling is in the perspective provided; Martin is letting us see it all, but we keep reading to see how it comes together. Also,
it's about time Daenerys had problems; I do love me some baby eating.

I hope Martin isn't finished with Brienne. The romantic in me wants to read more Jaime/Brienne. Cannot wait to see where Tyrion pops up
Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. Dick last semester. It was pretty fun except for the research paper... From what we read, my favorite was probably The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch. |
I had never heard of Ubik or Three Stigmata until I saw them in a compilation novel that I _almost_ bought while I was at Borders today. Decided against, because as much as I like his short stories I think my brain would fall out on the floor if I read a full-length novel by him.
