I remember when I read books.
I enjoyed pretty much everything by sir Terry Brooks. Call it entry level fantasy but I had a good time with those. That was back in middle school, shit. And of course Calving and Hobbes is always timeless. I haven't legitimately read a book in a very long while, though I may try and find something by Baudelaire that's manageable. 'Meditation is supposedly the only way to Enlightenment because the only way to find this truth is through inner reflection - therefore, what you are finding to be the truth in your personal journey should ultimately be exactly what I find to be the truth, though all of our journeys are unique.'

I've been learning a lot about Dickens from Drood.

Prordered Dance With Dragons. I'm nervous 'cause the reviews said it was like Feast For Crows and that was the worst book by far (Also my copy of AFFC is like 200 pages shorter than Storm of Swords and it has 50% bigger font and double spacing. Is GRRM's editor in 8th grade?)

Powell's Books in Portland is fucking amazing. Floor to ceiling bookshelves over an entire block, and all them extremely cheap. Managed to restrict myself to buying three books.

Fixed that for you. It's an awesome place to hang out in and you'll find a good deal once in a while, but back in the nineties they were actually cheap with 50 cent paperbacks. Also I didn't know you were in Pooooortland ho |

Only on Game of thrones myself, though I bought that sweet 4 book set of it, so I got reading material for a LONG time, especially with the other one just released, heh.

I'm almost done with A Storm of Swords right now (oh god this book owns) and I'm going to try and blaze through Feast as fast as possible because my kindle came in today (best early birthday present evar) and I bought ADWD for that.
