Data entry for a medical billing company. Kind of grunt work, but hey, cash, and I can flex my typing skills while I'm at it.

Have an appointment at 11 AM on Monday with a program coordinator at my college. Fuck you computer programming, I never really liked you. Will you ever forgive me graphics design?

Just in case someone cares, i've been translating some of Japan's news blogs to stay in touch with the news. I've also checked some people's Twitters account to see how they are doing.
At least the 2 people i cared the most are okay, Shigesato Itoi, father of the Earthbound saga is okay, he's even complaining about how news are handling the event (remember aside from creating the games he's a well known Columnist and Critic). Takehiko Inoue, creator of series such as Slam Dunk had a rough time getting home, but he's at home now and he's fine. His wife is okay, only his dogs are freaking out. If you really want to know about some some Japanese person you care about, tell me and i'll try to get as much info as i can <3 In a similiar note, i should really get the pics we took after our earthquake EDIT: Oops, this was supposed to go on The Longest Thread. Anyway, i'm happy because they are okay ![]() ![]() |

Got an iPad and enough for a 3DS for my birthday. Thinking about buying the Korg app(s), also garage band (mainly for my wife to play with). Anyone recommend the Korg software?

Just gone done completing my custom WiFi antennas for my setup here at home, signal strength is up to like -2 dBi from -24dBi. (That's a guess, network cards aren't so great at measuring signals >-10dBi) Seeing signal range increase of about 100' as well, I can see and use the WiFi from the road now, through about 250' of dense woods and a house. About 120Mbps from that range. Setup is 3x directional alcoves with all 3 N antennas having a presence in each alcove. Can best be described with a prosauce MSPaint wire diagram.
![]() I love the fact that the FCC mandated that manufacturers needed to employ a method of nerfing after-market antennas. I also love the fact that with a properly sized drill-bit, 9x SMA surface mount passthrough jacks ,9 semi-rigid conductor lengths terminated with SMA connectors and a soldering iron, you can create your own RP-SMA connectors in about 10 minutes. |

Anyone recommend the Korg software? Got one of the Korg apps and it is pretty beast. Now that I'm starting to learn how to use it it is surprisingly easy to create good sounding beats. I'm now working on making an awesome sounding beat. ![]() |

I'm confused, for the most part, but I think I get the basics. ![]() |

Well, the black circle was so I would know where to stop making the little black lines for the 3 antenna alcoves. =p
That was a really crude representation, the reflectors aren't hard cornered like dawn, all 3 are proper parabolic reflectors. Think of 3 of these equilaterally aimed around a central point. ![]() |
