Holy hell I'm way behind.

Source updates with pretty much every new Valve game so I was just making sure we were clear that I was complimenting the newer builds of the engine.

I'm pretty sure they're just made of generic Aperture Science junk. One's a sentry, the other is a random personality core (of which there are several).

If they're charging $45 for this it better damn well be more than 3 hours of gameplay. IMO, part of what made portal great was the humor and the atmosphere, if the game was longer it likely would have gotten stale and ruined it.

I did see a screen of Chell from a European magazine, so is it possible there's a single player game with Chell and a multiplayer section with the two robots?

They have explicitly said that all of what you are stipulating is true. At some point they said that Portal was short because they weren't sure if it would be popular or not. Portal 2 is supposed to be much more of a full length game (~20 hours I think).

Id almost rather see 2 - 3 shorter stories, we'll see how it pans out. I'm just not sure they'll be able to keep up the level of humor for 20 hours of gameplay  :-\

Either way this will be a pre-order as soon as I get home, the absolutely magnificence of the first one completely justifies it.

I love(hate?) how easy Steam makes that process. I've already purchased ours and it's already on Caff's library list. Like a 2 minute process, because Steam crashed after I hit the last 'oder' button.
