Wow, I actually have something to post in this thread.
Just got into my first college. Drexel. There's a few other places I'd rather go to, but this is a start ![]() ![]() |

At the big local furry convention this weekend. Full of awesome.
I saw a few guys standing around chatting and all of a sudden one guy starts doing a wiggle dance... Thanks to this place, and Reevesith's avatar in particular, I recognized it as the "unlock the door dance" from Mother 3. tl;dr BRB,U helps me get the joke |
This. I don't know if I necessarily have easier or less work, but the fact that I don't have to sit through half the day that was crap to get to the half that was worthwhile helps mentally. Plus if you set up your schedule right, school will start two hours later and be out two hours earlier than it was in high school, which means more free time for homework and the ability to simply stay up and out later to hang with friends or whatever. On a semi-related note, what are you planning on studying? |

As is civil/structural engineering. Caff, I was just watching a Plinkett review and your avatar was shown a bunch. ![]() |
She was studying to be an aerospace engineer or something like that. Literally, she had so much to do she had no time for anything. She managed her time as well as one could considering a crushing course load. I've been in university myself. Yes, I know that workload tends to decrease, or at least things are a bit lax. This is why I'm pointing out her example. It was NOT more lax, it was the exact opposite, and not due to any dicking around or laziness on her part. |

I know it depends a lot on what you are doing. In law school you can pretty much go all waking hours if you wanted to do everything you could, so you kind of have to prioritize. My friend's roommate is in some math grad program and he might have it worse, but his girlfriend is in speech therapy and she managed to get her schedule to only have tuesday and thursday classes.
