Tracking all that AI shit is going to be the server's job, and it isn't going to be easy.  However this begs the question for renting servers, if they are still going to be pay per slot, and thus end up really cheap?

Doubt it. Lots of servers start out with a baseline fee and then throw on so much for each additional slot. It'll probably just be a larger fee up front. That or each slot is just expensive. :-\

Don't worry, it's normal. All unreleased games don't start downloading until the game is released.

Good clip, as for the other server comments, they will likely just charge a flat rate and have only 4 person servers, seriously who wants to play with like 2, theres no point in renting a server then.

As awesome as I think this will be, I wish it would let there be more people playing, like the option to have more survivors, or have more humans controlling zombies, maybe RTS like, move your hoards around, ect.
