having roommates is no big deal. compromise on sleep schedules, don't masturbate in front of them, maintain basic hygiene, don't have a 100% overlap in outside friends.  Simple.

Do what I did that one time I had to have a roommate I'd never met before (thanks to a flaky previous one); sleep with a knife under your pillow. No joke.

^^ maybe a little paranoid but def be wary the first month or so. you never know what variety of shit you might get. luckily i'm bunking with a longtime friend and chill dude so i haven't really had any issues but with some random dude you'll never know

Considering I was a female living alone with some guy moving in who was only a friend of a friend... I thought it was good. I knew he was into some drugs and stuff but I had only met him once. He SEEMED like a nice guy but I had no way of knowing for sure.


In the end he was, but also in the end I almost got screwed over because he fell totally to drugs for several months.
