Was it the picture of Peach's castle with the big red fish in front of it? Because that's actually Mario Kart 64.

Sexist jokes like that would just make me laugh. Honestly I think people get too worked up over everything and it's much more fun to just sit back and watch. Maybe poke a little sometimes, but mostly watch.

I only got to about 10000. There are some bugs with it though, I sometimes have to spam clicks on the hint or skip, and for a couple levels it stopped recognizing when I hit enter (always after I clicked on a hint).

I thought my wife was a cat this morning and yelled at her for playing with my wife's things (was half asleep). Then I slept in for ages until I felt like a lazy sack of crap ands got up at what turned out to be 8:30. This was an off morning.

My sister got pissed off tonight. I started to make a joke about myself to try and lift the mood and she just yelled at me and told me to shut up. Normally, if I had been the one telling her to shut up, I would've been scolded. Then, she tells her friend (has been in our house for a few hours now) that she didn't want to go to the movies anymore, just because one tiny thing completely destroyed her day. I made a sarcastic comment that I probably shouldn't have, and she threatens me. I could get grounded if the roles were switched right here. This pisses me off so much, especially considering I know that my dad in the other room heard it loud and clear. This is how it's always been. I get pissed off, sister makes sarcastic/aggravating comment, I get more pissed off and yell, I get scolded/yelled at. Sister gets pissed off, treats me like crap, I'm not allowed to say anything.

So they leave, and I talk to my dad about this. About how my sister always gets off scott-free and I usually get in trouble. He starts making up excuses at this point and I get suspicious (my dad's a straight-forward guy, usually doesn't try to evade questions). My mom comes down and asks about the situation. They pretty much told me they've let her get away with this stuff since as long as I can remember because they don't have a good relationship with her and feel like she will drift away if they scold her. I call BS at this point and give them, as described by them, perfectly legitimate points. The conversation basically ended on "I really hope you guys consider this, because this is in every way unfair to me." My dad said he would talk to her tonight.

I don't really know if it will happen or not, but I'm just sick of it at this point.

Dude, expecting people to do the right and logical thing isn't gonna get you far.  Instead of hoping for the best outcome, make it so.  Tell your parents they're retards for having a double standard, straight up ask them why it's ok for her to yell at you.  You may get grounded till you move out, but you can at least say YOU did the right thing.  But never, ever expect the best from anyone.

Wow, just re-read that, and I realize how cynical I sound...not sure how to feel about that...

Karth did the right thing. Hypocrisy is just injustice, and tolerating injustice is abetting by it. Lowering your own expectations of people just makes your own integrity that much more questionable. In an age where so many people turn a blind eye to moral degradation, why in would you even begin to tolerate that from your own family? Gutcheck time Hobo.

Karth, ya got a +1 from me.

I've been in some extremely aggravating situations before, not too different from the one you've just dealt with. Being the "good" child comes with a good shitload of hypocrisy every now and then.

Life is rarely fair, but that's no excuse for being complacent.

Either rewrite the rules of the game, or beat the fucks at their own game. Just remember that timing is important and that not every battle is worth fighting.

Welcome to the wonderful world of siblings. Now that you know how the game is played, maybe you'll have a fair chance at it. You only have the rest of your lives to figure it out Tongue

On a more serious note, bravo for being upfront about it to your parents, and bravo^2 for them taking you seriously and not just saying 'BECAUSE I SAY SO!' when you ask why it's being done.

2 Things Karth;

1) I know exactly where you are coming from. I'm the "good" child in my family, and half the shit my sister gets away with, I would've never at her age. It's night and day between my sister and I, and its aggravating to see her do these stupid things and actually rewarded for it. I've called my parents out for it a bunch of times, and they usually try to ignore it, but I believe they are starting to see some error in their ways. Atleast I'm trusted alot more than her, even when I was her age. She complains why she's not allowed to have friends over when no one is home, and when she uses me at that age as an excuse, My parents always say "We trusted him to not do stupid shit".

2) She's probably on the rag.

Props to you Karth for both sticking up for yourself and for laying things out calmly and rationally. Being able to do things like that and lay out clear concise points rather than acting solely on emotional impulses is key to winning arguments and letting people know how you feel about things. In this instance you called your folks out on a double standard and since you laid out points you got them to take a good hard look at the way they are handling things.

Whether or not things turn out for the better, you're leaving for university very soon correct? You'll move out and be beyond their reach, just don't call/write/email, oh and don't ever go home unless its for an extended break. Don't miss out on the freedoms and opportunities at university because you go home every weekend or because you spend an hour talking to your parents every night over the phone.
