makers was pretty anemic. All ideas, no story or character development.

I just started reading "The Year of Living Biblically" by A.J. Jacobs, and I can honestly say that it's surprisingly really interesting. The writer is an agnostic guy living in New York City who is a humor writer for Esquire and he decided to live by the Bible for a year. He basically just documents his experiences and all his talks with various religious leaders. It does a good job or taking a fairly even view of different beliefs (ex: He's talked to Amish, Rabbis, and Priests so far) and just explaining what their religion means to them.

Shades of Grey is one of the best dystopian fiction books I think that has come out in a very long time.

@Surf Shades of Grey dragged like an desk job without any coffee in the middle but the beginning and ending were solid

Absolutely not! For starters, I am a children's librarian so perhaps on children's books and YA titles I can call myself more of an expert. As far as adult books go, I mostly read trash and fluff.Â

Some don't like the middle but personally I like details so I enjoyed it the whole way through. Of course I thought Jonathon Strange & Mr. Norrel was one of the best books ever written and the first third of the book is just details and dry wit. |

If there are thousands upon thousands coming at you..it really doesn't matter how much gun power you have. Considering you HAVE to destroy the brain to bring them down..or at least total disintegration. Not to mention the area you are fighting in. If you clog them all into one area ala Thermopylae then you got a shot, but if they are coming in all around you in vast numbers you're fucked. Why am I actually talking like this happened? Damn it's a good book. |

Not sure if want but definitely a kickass book. Reading Moving Pictures by Terry Pratchett at the moment. |

Is neuromancer going anywhere or is it stalled? I know they've been trying to make it into a movie for a long time now.

I don't agree with his assessment of the (in)effectiveness of heavy weapons and explosives on the zombies. Yeah, their blood is now thick black ooze, those kinda of concussions are still going to turn a brain into a slightly runny custard. Blast over pressure is a bitch, much more so than he gives it credit for.Â
