you go Senators. Damn the government for interfering in the free market. (description of the bill in question - "an amendment to a Defense Appropriations bill that would prevent the Pentagon from doing business with contractors who force employees into binding arbitration over rape and sexual assault charges.") |

Thanks Benito, I read a bit about it in the reddit comments. From what I understand the setup of the magnetic field is such that it only allows the thingee (technical term?) to move side to side, any forward and back motions are pushed back to the center. I'm not exactly sure how that same field traps it from going up or down as well but it's probably a similar effect.

If I had to hazard a guess I'd say there was also a magnet in the shuttle, in addition to the diamagnetic material, but I'm not sure. ![]() "If you want to be a Double E, bend over and grab your knees...." Really fun website. Just an ask and tell website. Even keeps track of your own questions and 3 answers to them. Heck, it doesn't even have to BE a question! Some examples on mine: Quote:Question: Hello? Quote:Question: I'm bobbin, are you my mother? Quote:Question: The Captain would like to thank everyone for keeping the plane snake-free. |
