I have some decent cuisinart stuff because I can't afford all-clad. I sold my calphalon because I got sick and tired of hand-washing it.

Calphalon and La Creuset are also good. You see Calphalon & All-Clad in like, any restaurant kitchen.

For appliances, it's kitchenaid, cuisinart, or bust. I only have one Calphalon pan and it sees more use than everything else in my kitchen combined, although my GF really likes her 1970's nonstick electric frying pan. I have no idea how, but that thing has a better nonstick coating than the Calphalon pan. Probably has something to do with nothing ever really _burning_ because the temperature is adjustable. *shrugs*

Electric griddles are rad, and I'd love to have one if I ever have people over. WOuld make breakfast soooooooo easy, for example. Or Philly-style cheesesteak :3

Wait, it's layered with different metals? That sounds scary when combined with thermal expansion.

It doesn't expand like that, it's built
ah fuck it I do not know how to explain it.

On unrelated news I played Punch-Out for the first time after watching my brother play it for many years, and I managed to get to Bald Bull with dying only once on the Great Tiger.  :D

[/quote]The best pots are solid copper or clad copper, and cheaper pots are layered, although even high-endish pots are layered so that the bottom has a slug of copper in it to spread heat, even if it's surrounded by stainless or aluminum.

Copper is such a useful metal.

Can't argue much there, but copper still isn't as strong and can corrode faster, and aluminum is still pretty good at conducting heat.
And thermal expansion won't mess the layered metal.

I've still never heard of Americraft :V.

And the best pots are probably the sort with two layers of stainless steel surrounding copper. Durability and easy maintenance of steel, conductivity of copper. An all copper pan isn't as useful for everyday cooking... but they are good for cooking eggs, and candy making.

Impressive art, at the very least.

Well, the main company is actually Kitchen Craft, I think Americraft is just the name of the types of stuff, or just their products in general.
Or cause it's made in America.
