Honestly the Iphone is the best phone I have ever owned.  I always thought I wouldn't need internet, youtube, maps, and so forth on my phone but damn is it ever so convenient when I want to use that stuff.  I don't know how many times i've looked at this site on work, used the map application to find specific streets when im delivering mail and when someone talks about that great sports clip or that funny scene from said sitcom that happened I can just pull up youtube and search for it.

I know pretty much any other phone could do the same thing but if you are willing to pay 90-100 a month for a multimedia plan for any other phone might as well pony up the extra money for an iphone and get a better interface with it.

I guess this just goes to those who don't believe in the value of the iphone?

the iPhone is a fun phone but the way Apple went control freak on its ass is unacceptable. I don't want to get a t-mobile subscription, I want to load the apps I want. (without jailbreaking it, just on principle) Besides, besides the multi touch screen it didn't really bring anything new to the table except apple's sense of UI/Hardware design. My next phone will most likely be a Nokia (the n97 is a big step into the right direction for their smartphones) but mostly for their proven durability or something android based when there are more decent models around.

AT&T has an exclusivity deal with Apple, not Apple is choosing to have it only on AT&T, AT&T just ponied up the most money right away for it. It's like Netflix instant streaming was only available on 360 until recently, once the exclusivity deal ran out PS3 got it (albeit in a disc-based form, something similar to microsoft's instant streaming is still exclusive)

also canabalt is mad fun for $2.99, endless replay pretty much, and they just added an update that adds online leaderboards, new stuff in the game, etc. AppSniper is good too if you're frugal on apps, will tell you what went free or are on sale over the past 3 days plus you can watch stuff to see if it's on sale and will notify you when something you're watching went on sale. iirc it's either $.99 or $1.99
