Third party case with a metal clip bent the back of it. Apple wouldn't do anything to fix it, even tho it fucked up the player (pushed up against the HDD :<.) It lasted less than a year. I've had my Zen over two-three years, and still works fab. [/quote] The one thing I hate about iPods is that the batteries rarely last more than 2 years, and they're expensive enough to replace that it's better just to get a new one. I solve this problem by just stealing one of my brother/sister's iPods when mine dies. |

I've owned 3 different generations of ipods. my first gen's battery ran out and this was when apple was still being dicks about the whole thing, my 3rd gen got dropped replaced and then dropped again soon after the warranty ran out, and now i'm still working through my ipod video. I love the ipods, and they have gotten better every generation. I've only played around with the ipod touch a bit, but it seems great, and can use all the iphone apps.
seems like a non-question. |

Honestly, the UI in the 160GB is horrible. No song details when the backlight shuts down, navigating between menu levels is noticeably slow and laggy, the current touch wheel is much less sensitive and responsive - taking longer to scroll through. Mm, but the screen is sooooo biiiiiiig. It'd just be practical to dedicate a Shuffle to music on the go where you need to intuit your button presses, and a Touch for leisure listening (and watching, which is practically criminal on the Classics, given the screen size.) |

A PSP can play music, video, and a fuckton more games on a nice big screen. Oh and is infinitely cheaper than an ipod touch.
As for high capacity music players, no idea, never needed one. If I ever do, I'll probably get a cheap ass sansa, custom firmware it, then get a micro sdhc card. (09-11-2008, 05:11 PM)Dave link Wrote:i would totaly ride that gay ass dragon thing. |

You'll end up paying the same price for a used PSP (I just got one with an 8GB card and a couple games/accessories on ebay for 95 bucks) + a new older Zen or something that you'd pay for a new ipod/zune anyways, and you get the benefit of free PSP/PSX/NES/SNES games on top of movies if you hack your PSP. |
