Well no doubt, but are the controls on the PC really as bad as they say?

Quote:Karrde link=topic=1655.msg46074#msg46074 date=1225126488] It took only a few minutes to get used to the controls on the keyboard. However, the only issue i run into is when there's an "OH SHIT!" moment and my body jolts, sending my arm, wrist, hand, and mouse in a sudden and random direction 'causing the camera to do something crazy and making me lose my orientation in the game. This of course sends me into further panic because there's a crazed mutant thing coming at me and I'm frantically trying to readjust my camera and get my bearings straight so I can shoot it's limbs off. But other than that, I don't see a problem with the keyboard and mouse. As for what's awesome about it, among other things, the sound is a MAJOR highlight. Sitting in front of my computer with all the lights off, my headphones on with the sound up, I was totally immersed in the game. The ambient noises and suspenseful music that jumps in during the action really makes it an experience for me. I've only played for an hour but from what I've seen so far, I'm thoroughly enjoying it. The ambient score is phenomenal the little stabs and vague monster-y noises are fucking ace. Although you're obviously a homo for jumping so hard your mouse goes spastic Only thing I didn't like so far was the asteroid shooting bit. I read this post last week but figured he was just being a pussy. Mostly pissed me off because I had to switch to mouse just for this sequence after really enjoying the feel of the controller for the rest of the game. That said, it still took me a couple of tries until I figured out I was making it unnecessarily difficult for myself so I may have managed it eventually anyway. Fuck it, still hugely enjoying the game, so all is well. |

In my opinion, just another lame excuse to show as much blood as possible with cool graphics enough to have all gamers drooling |

Downloading now. I'd buy it, but I don't want to just end up disappointed like usual.

Now I just if it'll be worth it to play it on my comp. I think my 256 mb 8600m GT clocks in at the minimums.
keyboard and mouse also budr, there is some really fucked up stuff in this game.
I'm most of the way through the game. It's weird that the majority of the atmospherics and tension building techniques are horribly hackneyed clichés and yet they're just done so well that they just work. Although I guess it's in keeping with the game as a whole, which essentially does nothing new or innovative in any way but does what it does absolutely perfectly. Also Squishy, stop posting in the Kiddy Corner you console-loving bitch. |

Played it a bit and have so far enjoyed it. Hint for those who get it, immediately turn off V-Sync. It created a sluggishness in mouse responsiveness and then worked perfectly as it should when it was turned off.

Just finished this off tonight, easily the best SP experience I've had since Episode 2. The story was engrossing enough and definitely entertaining. The end boss was yet another cliché but, as I said in an earlier post, a hugely enjoyable one.

Seriously, if anyone thought the game played like shit, this is why. It's not just the mouse sluggishness in-game, the menus lag and turning it off dropped my level load times from about ten seconds to around half a second. Weird the way it fucked so much shit up but at least it was easily remediable. |

V-Sync? Thats odd because like 99% of PC games have it off by default....
