So you can't blame america for this. That said, I readily admit that most belgian lambics are superior to anything that dogfish head makes. There's a local brewery where I live that does a blueberry ale which is pretty damn good. When you get it at a good bar they even put real blueberries in it. Simply put, if it has ethanol in it, then you are entitled to try to mix it with whatever you can. One of my favorite beers is a Blue Moon, it goes well with oranges. Also they do a lot of creative seasonal brews that are surprisingly delicious. I really want to try their new one that has pumpkin in it. I know it sounds really strange but if there is anyone I trust to pull off weird stuff in my beer it's Blue Moon, well after Dogfish Head.

I recently just tried Blue Moon's Honey Moon. I really really enjoyed it.
I'm currently enjoying one of these badboys along with some Contra 3; Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout Really interesting taste. My first oatmeal stout. It's Pretty heavy and thick. Sweet oatmealy, caramely, and nutty at first, then finishes with a pretty bitter coffee taste. I have to say, I like it a lot. It's a bit expensive though at 4 dollars a bottle. Well worth it every once in a while. |

I tried some Saranac Pumpkin ale along with a pumpkin cream sauce I made the other night.
The Saranac was alright. I don't think it was anything special, Cinnamony, slightly sweet, light pumpkin flavour. I also tried Dundee's (Makers of Honey Brown) Oktoberfest, again, it was just alright. |
