It's time for an all zombie addition of Thursday mod nods. We got 2 classic zombie mods and for one night only I'm allowing an exception to the rules, Brainbread - a popular HL1 mod. So while you are waiting for L4D come massacre some zombies with the BRBU community.
Zombie Panic - This mod divides the server up into 1 or 2 zombies versus the rest who are survivors. The catch? When a zombie kills someone they become a zombie themselves. As the original zombie you can also infect survivors and watch them turn on their former team mates. A great mod but not for the competitive. There really isn't much winning or losing going on but it does provide a very immersive and anxiety filled game. My advice: don't barricade yourself in a room, smart zombies will get you to waste all your ammo and then feast when you are helpless. Zombie Master - This mod has one person act as the zombie master who creates hordes of AI controlled zombies and sets off traps for the survivors. Think of a gory Dungeon Master. This game can be quite fun as you have a person managing the action and trying to kill you all off instead of a computer. The deck isn't completely stacked against you though, they have to spend points for every action. So they need to be efficient. Brain Bread - This popular HL1 mod team is currently working on a source update to work with HL2. Until then we can still play the HL1 version. Be aware, you will need the original non-source HL1 to play this. If you don't have it you can get it off Steam for $10. I have personally no played this mod but it looks pretty awesome. If you are curious check out the about page on the link provided. Unfortunately if this mod gets picked there might not be as high of a turn out, but it will be a good excuse to get HL1 as there are plenty of good mods for it. |

Zombie Master is great fun, and I don't think we've ever done that. Vote Eschatos for 2008 Master of ZOMBIES!

Zombie master can be heaps of fun, as long as the Zombie Master is good.
The point of the zombie master isn't to win, it's to make a fun game for everyone else, so you can't just spam enemies and traps, you have to be fair, cause if you try to win, you always will, and thats no fun :-\ |

I played ZM for a while once. I don't know if I'll need to download an update or anything, but it's fun nonetheless. If you included alltalk, it would be very fun indeed. ;D

Back when I used to play Zombie Master a lot I was pretty good. I volunteer to be the Master tonight, if the vote wins.
