Anyone here have any experience in converting a vintage tube amplifier from 2 prong to 3 prong and removing yea olde death cap?
I've come into possession of a beauty of a sound that likes to bite me with her electrical teeth. While I do think that death by amp electrocution in the middle of a Stones cover would be a great way to go, I think I want to get some more playing out of the amp first before that day. |

I think I will need to wait for her will to get my grubby hands on that. Instead, I got the Gibson Ranger GA-20T, circa 1963ish, which the family never knew she had in the back of her closet all these years. For some wonderful reason, she was willing to give that to me. |

Too many variables that can end up either damaging you or your amp if you don't do it right. "If you want to be a Double E, bend over and grab your knees...." Just got my first stomp box, and already I want to change the capacitors out.
I made a new thread in Gadgets to track this.

So now i know how that works, but I've never known why manuals are actually better other than people vaguely saying they give more control over the vehicle.
