Thursday Mod Nights - 10/21 - Source Forts

Sorry for the late posting Gents. New Vegas is keeping me occupied.

This week we'll be playing... you guessed it, Source Forts!

Both teams get a startup time at the beginning of the round, during which time they can spawn a bunch of different planks and blocks to build palls, sniper towers, and anything else they may or may not need. After that, its attack/defend in a CTF style match. The more players, the better, so I hope to see you there.

god dammit, i love sourceforts and i get decent internet on friday :'(

I really need to know this more than the morning of, because Source Forts is retarded and doesnt have dedicated server files in a nice little zip package, you have to COPY THE CLIENT, well of course, its in an exe, that I cant use without it detecting steam as being installed.


What does this mean? It means I have to download the new version here at home, then zip it, then upload it to the brbu FTP, then download it on the server and pray that works.

This week was one big fuckup on my part. Sorry about that guys. We'll move onto the next mod for next week.

I would if I didnt have my damn college marching band rehearsal, buh. I miss some mod nights. I'll be back to do mod nights in a month or so hopefully, but our football team is undefeated so we'll see.

This raises the question of how many of these 'bottom of the barrel' mods still work? We should probably check that from here on out..

Source Forts was fairly old and not actively updated anymore as far as I know, just looking at the list we have yet to play, I already know most of these mods are already on the orange box engine, and work fine.

wasnt there for it but isnt there a map mod that is basically source forts on the team fortress 2 game? ive played on quite a few of them actually and they're quite fun
