So, recently I went through a whole left 4 dead versus match normally, calling out boomers etc. when one of my teammates asked me why I wouldn't talk.
Apparently my mic's been broken for about a week and no one told me. So! I've been trying to figure out what's the problem. I have a headset, and the speakers work fine. I tried taking the dual cable setup out of the usb adapter and using the two jacks separately. Didn't work. I tried moving the usb adapter to different ports. Didn't work. I started fiddling and faddling with settings. Nothing. Any ideas, or should I spring for a new set of headphones? |

Headsets break on a regular basis, mainly do to the constant flex in the cord and increased crushing by chair wheels.
Buy a new one, or a new desk mic as they last longer. Stay away from USB. |
