I still have fond memories of rifles-only servers like TRT in CoD1+2, and I never tire of an entire genre just because it shares a setting: that's a sad kind of exclusivity. How many settings are there, really?

And I wouldn't let the anti-American sentiment get in the way of enjoying a t'riffic game.

The airport thing leads me to believe this is a bit more like civilian-turned-action-hero. Which could make for a fun game.

You mean the flashback missions in CoD4? If so, then indeed. With the exception waiting for the helicopter in the fair grounds (that bit can go straight to hell) those were definitely the highlights of the game (well... aside from the mission right after the helicopter crash).

That mission was the stupidest thing in the world.  When I went back to play it with the slow-mo and cluster grenade cheats, even though I had killed almost all the russian dudes and vehicles going through the field, your stupid captain guy "dies" even if nobody actually shoots him.  Fuck that >=o.

Did you try it on veteran? No lie, constant grenades for the entire time. I wound up not only abusing spawn points, but hiding in the ticket booth next to the ferris wheel praying an errant grenade didn't bounce in. Basically every mission with either a timer or a last stand was infuriating in that game.
