Warhammer Online- Side/Class - Eschatos - 09-09-2008
Now that the release date is approaching it'd be nice to get some organization for our play. I assume that we're going to create a guild, so we're going to need a decent distribution of classes. Also we need to pick a side to mainly play on. I recommend Order. They're less cool but they're outnumbered, and that means buffs and the awesomeness of beating off the numbers. So far most of the time I've played when Order has anywhere close to the number of Destruction they win the scenario/battlefield. So far it's looking like the Horde/Alliance player distribution of WoW is completely reversed in WAR.
For Order:
Witch Hunter -Â Great DPS and Stealth, with a really good combo system
Warrior Priest - Cool melee healer, haven't played a ton but is fun so far
Engineer -Â I would love to be able to shout "SPAH SAPPIN MAH SENTRY" and mean it.
For Destruction -
Marauder - Monstrosity rapes on scenarios. At level 9 I'm doing 70 damage per attack to up to 10 people. Pretty good at 1v1 also.
Zealot - I like the way it looks and seems the most well rounded healer on Destruction
Sorcerer - For when I get bored of Chaos and decide to try a new race.
Everyone else getting the game please post what you're thinking of.

Watching this is like watching a fanmade WoW trailer (with shittier graphics)...
The game looks pretty much the same, what would convince me is not that kind of video, Vandam... I want to know more about gameplay. I played WoW enough to hate MMORPGs. Tell me why it is better than (or rather, not as bad as) WoW, and I may join.

I'd personal prefer to roll on a Open RvR server. Yes you'll have some griefers from time to time, but the skill level will be a great deal higher, you'll earn your Renown Ranks a great deal faster, and you'll become a better player for constantly honing your skill.

I want Open RVR too, but I also want to be able to go back and earn all the unlocks and stuff from earlier levels. I wish instead of chickening they simply didn't allow people to attack others too far below their tier.

Open RvR will allow to goto 1 tier under yours, you'll have plenty of time to get those lolachievements.
