It makes me enter my login/pw but says it cant connect to Steam servers? wth?

Steam has been shit lately. I hope they are upgrading it or doing maintenance or something and this is not permanent.

I'm having issues as well, according to a few online sources (Google) there are some fairly bad storms up in the northwest at the moment, particularly around Seattle where Valve is located. These storms are causing some bad power outages which keep kicking the servers offline, no ETA when the issue will be resolved.
