Left 4 Dead Safe Room - Review (Part 1) - Dissonant Radness - 12-29-2008
The most eternally fascinating facet of Left 4 Dead is that ineffably inexpugnable fortress known to the masses as the "safe room." I suspect that we shall never plumb the depths of its hallowed provenance, nor know from whose fecund intellect the creative coruscation did burst.
But surely we must examine it. We must fossick about, seeking the truths which certainly are embedded within its concrete walls. We must suss out its origins. For what is life for, if not to eff the ineffable?
To do this, we must start in that organ of penultimate importance. As the philosopher said, "In your heart, you know his rites." And are these words not true?
Perhaps the finest example of post-Roarkian architecture in existence, the safe room can inarguably be called the Eighth Wonder of the World. Its functional walls and sensible materials bespeak the work of a Brutalist designer of callow, yet genteel, disposition. The conveniently placed ordnance is indicative of an intelligent designer with a keen grasp of local issues.

See, I knew a girl who wrote like this in High School, she went to college and turned in her first paper for English 111 and was promptly failed for sounding overly bombastic, incomprehensible and being a "flashy, elitist bitch" as the proff put it. You're overcompensating, even the editorial staff at the New Yorker would call you a "little tit" for this stuff.
