New Hard Drive - Surf314 - 12-05-2013 I'm starting to run out of space and need to get a new hard drive. I'm thinking about getting a 1 or 2 TB hybrid drive. Does anyone have any suggestions? I agree with this, Hybrid drives are only really useful for new compy builds, but they're still too new to be considered reliable. Re: New Hard Drive - Didzo - 12-06-2013 WD Caviar Black. New thing came out were its a ssd and 1 tb hdd in one 2.5 form factor. Desktop storage definitely WD black series. Also if you end up getting a black series, don't make the same mistake I made and order an older model. New versions model numbers have a 3 and not a 1 in the 6th spot. I know this because I have a drive bay which presses the drives onto a backplane... and it needed modifications for WD drives. |
