Hey engis!

press 5 to pull out your mana turret. Press B to switch to its alternate. Press mouse1 to deploy ammo!

frees up your utility slot for Mines or C4!

I'm going to hit B for every class and every weapon, I remember that was the EMP in the sunderer from PS1 and only found how from the Mumble channel, 10 seconds after I was supposed to have popped it...

You already know this trick. The engineer doesn't have to burn his equipment slot for an ammo pack, he can use the 'change fire modes' key (B) when he's got his turret in hand to switch over and deploy an ammo pack instead.
