ZuneHD - KorJax - 08-13-2009 I want one. Hands-on with the Zune HD Engadget video is better: http://www.engadget.com/2009/08/11/zune-hd-video-hands-on-chock-full-of-media-edition/#continued Some interview questions answered about the device: Quote:New Software Soon. Lack of Flash support blows especially since there was talk of it being in before. However I'm almost positive they'll implement a "silverlight" support sooner or later to emulate flash (or just get full on flash support). Release is September 15th, leaked prices are $220 for the 16GB and $280-90(?) for the 32GB version. Features: -HD Radio, including song tagging for purchase later if you want -HD video support and output (can only output if you buy their fucking expensive dock at the moment). -OLED screen (100,000:1 contrast ratio, extremely power efficient/shock resistant, displays a much wider array of colors compaired to LCD's, etc). -Multi-touch -Internet browser -Direct artist info avalable for all songs/music on your player including their entire discography information (if you are connected through wifi to fetch data) -Zune Pass: $15 a month gives you unlimited music to the marketplace to download/rent for the duration you pay on zune pass, to listen on the zune/computer. Can also instantly stream music from the marketplace to your zuneHD through wifi, share music between other zunes and keep all the songs shared (normally there will be a play limit on shared music), and a bunch of other stuff. Personally not my thing but if you listen to a lot of new music that the marketplace has it's great. -Podcast support (duh) -Uses the nVIDIA Tegra chip, which is a highly power efficent processor that features 3D processing capabilities, and utilizes 8 cores. Tests with tegra chips on laptop batteries have shown over 25 days of battery life when listening to just music. -Game support and supposidly app support too. Not much is know at this at the moment. -Glass screen -Accelorometer -Other shit I'm probibly forgetting. Re: ZuneHD - beep beep diglett - 08-13-2009 jesus christ this looks awesome expect a 600 doller pricetag Re: ZuneHD - KorJax - 08-13-2009 (08-13-2009, 01:36 PM)dogmobile...?????? link Wrote: jesus christ this looks awesome More like $220/290 for 16gb/32gb respectively Re: ZuneHD - KarthXLR - 08-13-2009 It's a modest price, but I hope MS realizes that Apple has played it's trump card in that market. :-\ You know this is true. But back on topic, I've never really been interested in the Zune and am too used to the iPod to make the switch. So I'll probably just spend 300 bucks on a touch once my 1st gen Video dies. Re: ZuneHD - zaneyard - 08-14-2009 what's that about a company that once made a solid product and riding on its success/status image for the next 40 years? Re: ZuneHD - Honest - 08-14-2009 Apple? Re: ZuneHD - commish - 08-15-2009 I currently have a 30gb ipod video, battery is almost dead now, plan on making the switch... I'm not sure if I want the 16 or 32, I know I won't be able to fill it with music, but the price difference is so meh that I feel like I would be an idiot to not splurge for the 32gb Re: ZuneHD - Riosan - 08-19-2009 love my 80gb normal zune, but the zunehd looks really good. don't care much for the comparatively small hard drive, though Re: ZuneHD - KorJax - 08-30-2009 I put my zune 80 (refurbished) on amazon for sale, includes the offical zune leather case too for free + 90 day warrenty on the refurbished part + repair and battery change discount codes http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000WG6XW6/?seller=A2XFDZGLZWH7W6 Looking at about $180-ish for it, which is the going rate for pretty much all the refurb zune 80's on amazon. I think it's a pretty good price all considering that's included (the zune leather case retailed for about $40-$50). I'm selling it mostly due to me wanting to get a ZuneHD, otherwise I'd still keep it. It's a great media player and I've loved using it, but considering I've only used 16GB of music max on my Zun80 and only listen to about a third of THAT music, the full 80 GB potential just is being wasted Re: ZuneHD - Darklink - 09-03-2009 i really want something i can take into school :< Re: ZuneHD - Surf314 - 09-06-2009 I don't think I could ever get a zune just because it seems like yet another of microsofts "me too" products. I'm expecting a zunephone any day now. Then 3 years after apples tablet zuneputer. And I'm not saying that MS just follows Apple's innovation, there will be "me too" motion controls soon there already is "me too" miis and "me too" search engine. I wonder what their next "me too" industry will be.
