FNF 2009/05/29 - Come On Mr. DJ + Surprise Opinion Wars Buttsechs - Fail Medic - 05-28-2009

Friday Night Fights, May 29, 2009.

The big thing: Karaoke Night
Updates are still settling, Valve is still tweaking, but let's take a break from all that and just chill with some music. 

See the setup thread to review the list of DJs and the rules that'll hopefully help keep this fun and organized.

Also, it'll probably fit: Opinion Wars, Pokemon vs. Power Rangers.  Why not Big Grin ?  I do not know which color is best for which, so let's go with Red for Pokemon and Blu for Power Rangers.

How to change your Team Fortress 2 game name in game!
  • Steam Settings (semi-permanent)
    • Press SHIFT + ENTER(key).  This will bring up Steam Overlay.
    • Click the Settings button on the bottom of the game window.
    • Click Friends tab if necessary.
    • Change your name here and click OK.
    • This change will stick until you change it again.
  • Console method (temporary)
    • Enable the console by going to... TF2 Main Menu -> Options -> Keyboard tab -> Advanced button -> Enable developer console CHECKED (turned on) -> OK OK
    • While in game, hit ~ (tilde, above tab key) to bring up console.
    • In the console, type this:       [tt]setinfo name OMFGnamechange[/tt]        where "omfgnamechange" is the name you want.  And then press ENTER key. 
    • This change only lasts until a map change.

If you're planning on hosting a game, please reply with the following information and I'll add you up here:
  • Info about the game you're hosting (with download links pls)
  • Time(s) you're going to host
  • Contact information so people can get a hold of you (Steam / Vent / etc.)

DJs were awesome!  Good manners and great music.  And everyone else was great and we all had a good time I think.

Sorry for the whole patch mess and the buffer overflows.  We still pulled it off!

Special thanks: Caffeine for putting the mic spam suspension script on #1 (didn't get to use it ^^; ).  Kor, CopulatingDuck for putting up with us during the patch debacle, and Duck for putting us up in #2.  Wakati for doing legwork to get us some shelter.  And anyone else who tried to halp, thanks!

P.S. btw, dunno who won, pokemanz or powerzords.  oh well!
