Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - K2 - 06-30-2010 I'll probably get Red Faction and Shatter. Yay, another game that's practically unplayable until I get my new desktop. Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - KorJax - 06-30-2010 I can't decide between shatter and RF:G or if I should just wait till tomorrow's deals Are there any mods for RF:G? The only thing that interests me about the game is its destruction.. and I'm fairly conservative when it comes to that stuff in games anyways (being that I prefer stealth or indirect routes in games). Shatter just looks like good clean fun though and I feel like I could just pop it in and play without needing to invest time into it to get anything out of it. Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - backfire - 07-01-2010 Is Thief: Deadly Shadows worth $3? Only thing I know about this game is that it's one of the few Yahtzee loves. Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - KorJax - 07-01-2010 Got X3 Gold, if only for Terran Conflict. Apparently the game has a big modding community so I'm gonna mod the shit out of it as if it's Oblivion in space 8) Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - Odin - 07-01-2010 (07-01-2010, 01:18 PM)KorJax link Wrote: Got X3 Gold, if only for Terran Conflict. Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - beep beep diglett - 07-01-2010 aw jeez sci fi oblivion? brb buying this game btw, can you use ships? steam store isnt loading for me so i dunno what the game is supposed to be Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - Odin - 07-01-2010 You only use ships, you never leave your ship. You fly around in space and fight people in space or set up trade empires in space and build a fleet in space. Keep in mind the whole game plays out from a first person perspective, and the space battles can be really intense and spectacular. Observe: [flash=200,200]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amcyqMpOq4g[/flash] Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - Odin - 07-01-2010 Uh my script list as of right now: AP Libraries --- Needed for advanced scripts. Cheat Collection ---- Fun for messing around with by spawning huge enemy fleets. CSecG ---- I forget what this does but it probably is essential for something. Explorer Command Extension ---- Adds some purchasable software to turn ships into universe explorers, which map sectors. Super useful on small ships. ECE Deploy Satellite Network ---- Adds to above by making them deploy satellites in sectors if you have the money, letting you monitor sectors without visiting them. Imperial Libraries --- Again, other scripts depend on these. Improved Races --- Improved race AI, numbers, and routines. Intelligent Targeting System --- Makes the 'Next Target' command context sensitive. Military Base Response Revamp ---- Adds some interesting scripts for Military bases and Recon ships, making them respond to threats in their sector seriously and effectively. NPC Bailing Addon ----- Will make NPCs bail fighter craft more often. Will also make NPCs bail in NPC vs NPC battles, allowing you to reap huge salvage rewards with RRF (see below) Race Invasions ----- The two enemy races will sometimes invade nearby sectors from their homebases with small fleets. Reduced Enemy Missiles ----- Will make it so your 'death by missile' rage is kept at a minimum, NPCs are very missile happy. Race Response Fleets ----- AI will have designated fleets for protecting its assets, race vs race skirmishes will occur fairly often, and sectors can be taken over. Adds a cool element to make the universe feel more 'alive'. Salvage Claim Software ---- Allows you to salvage ships without leaving cockpit, very convenient. Ship Killed Notifications ---- Game will actually tell you when ships you control are under attack or destroyed. Shipyards Combined ---- Adds a few new shipyards to the game which allow you to buy ATF, Jonferco, Xenon, and more ships not normally purchasable. Universe Explorers ----- Forget what this does Then under libraries I have Community Plugin Configuration and Ware Manager, both required for these to work. I can ZIP all these up for you if you want. Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - Squishy3 - 07-01-2010 I'm buying Tropico 3 and Madballs because I didn't buy it last time it was on sale. Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - Turtle - 07-01-2010 Madballs Oh god Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - beep beep diglett - 07-01-2010 x3 owns, its like eve but you can fast forward Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - K2 - 07-01-2010 Bought The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom. You all should follow my example. Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - Moosendoo - 07-02-2010 Thinking about getting Borderlands for $10.19. The question is: are the three dlc's (together) worth an extra $10.17 as well? |
