Wait, room name "the zoo"..

Did someone not notice I'm not a furry anymore? :-\

Don't listen to him. Furries often go into denial.

Caff named it, and did some default assigning of roommates. Nothing's set in stone, at this point, not even the "name". But I have a room reserved. I don't care about which fandoms you're not a part of, you're still cool with me. And if you want to switch rooms, that's cool too.

Re: ACEN 2012 - Room Planning & Assignments - Sogo - 02-02-2012

If I can get there, and get into a room, I'm really interested in coming to ACEN. Anyone going through/near enough to Ohio to get there?

Oh nah don't mind me. I'm just complaining about nothing since I had nothing else better to do this morning.

Coe and I came up with a better name anyways.

You know why people have hats? Because they have to move forward to see the sunbeams effect in the distance. If you had eyes in back all you could see is your ghibus getting farther away; you can't move forward like that. If your eyes are in front what you see in the distance keeps getting closer. That's what lets people move forward. Hats.

Room names are a joke, assignments are semi-based on who gets along with who and age.

Re: ACEN 2012 - Room Planning & Assignments - Sogo - 02-02-2012

Anyone going there on roads that will take them through Ohio?
I still need to get transportation sorted out and don't know if I'll be able to afford to fly, or willing to try buses.
If anyone can get me a ride, I can help with gas and stuff.

I am probably going to be taking the bus to the con along with my giant bags of cosplays which will be super fun I'm sure. It wasn't too bad last year, I went to the con by car and left by bus. The Hyatt has a good shuttle service to and from ORD and usually buses will drop you off at the airport so all you have to do is wait a few minutes.
It'll take longer than driving for sure but it's not so bad Smile
I will be driving from Baltimore to Chicago (through West Virginia, a bit of Pennsylvania, northern Ohio and Indiana), and am more than happy to pick up anyone who can 1) fit into my car and 2) intersect my path of travel either by chance or by design.

Re: ACEN 2012 - Room Planning & Assignments - zaneyard - 02-07-2012

I might need you to bootleg for me. I'm not sure taking moonshine on a plane is a good idea.
If you know how to pack it, it'll ride in checked luggage just fine. Put it in a normal liquor bottle, and wrap it up in clothes. Definitely do NOT try to carry it on.

I'd be happy to transport you and anything you want to take with you, though. PM me and we can talk gas money. Wink

Rent one of those big white vans. During high school, we managed to stuff 14 people in it for our trip to Winnipeg.
It will be spacious with the added bonus of looking like a kidnapping vehicle.
