Didn't, haha. Bought it from a store Caff linked that specialized in historical apparel and equipment. Apparently people wore these!

And no, I'm not going in blackface Sad.

Painted the grenade launcher a darker shade of silver, should actually look gunmetal-ish now. I'll post good pics when I finish painting, varnishing, and then fix the sights.

I think I've managed to talk three more of my friends into attending acen. Here's to hoping.
I haven't worked on my cosplay since winter break so no new updates, but I put on what I had finished so far for a new progress pic:

My hair is currently green and yellow so I put on a hat, and my lab goggles because they are ~scientific~. One of my friends also left her German Club propaganda in my apartment. How convenient!

Oh Shiz, somehow I missed this thread as it slipped under my radar. Yea I'm planning to go assuming I can get some rooming with you guys like idk, Coe? Tongue Is there like a list with the people currently planning on going, those wanting to do the whole pooled room deal, and any other stuff? Anything I should do in the mean time to ensure a room?

Labcoat arrived, will work perfectly if I can find a sewing machine to modify it with, and some suitable buttons.

Gloves, boots, tie, patches, otolaryngologist's mirror, and glasses are in the mail. Ze Goggles should be finishing on eBay today sometime, fingers crossed. Still need to figure out pants, suspenders, melee weapon, and the backpack.

The Dr Who coat I was going to buy is sold out until June, so I've got more money to work with on this costume. Mixed blessing, eh?

Also, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to make it now, but since I'd be driving out I'm looking at something like a 15 hour drive.

Boots arrived Sat and I didn't find them till yesterday, but patches, tie, and glasses (from HessianAntiques) arrived today. Waiting on gloves, still need to find pants, belt, suspenders, modify the labcoat, build a melee weapon and build the fucking backpack, but shit's coming together quite nicely. Oh, and spent WAY too much money on a pair of ridiculously accurate replica prop Ecto Goggles on eBay.

Also, Caff, you should attack the logo on the straps of the backpack with a seam ripper, if possible.
