Pretty good deals.

Bought DOW2 expansion, Introversion pack, Max Payne Pack, Gothic Pack, Fuel, and some indie games.

It's like space-chess, but the whole "getting under your opponent" just seems stupid. not so bad for $2.50

FLOTILLA gameplay

I remember seeing this a while back, looks cool.  Bought.

Let me know when you run into this so I can laugh at you

Suddenly I regret not buying Flotilla.

Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - copulatingduck - 06-28-2010

Dude Flotilla is pretty funny, but after about an hour it gets incredibly repetitive. It feels more like a sweet tech demo than anything else.

Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - Odin - 06-28-2010

I've run into that a lot Hobo.  And it can Duck, but adventure mode keeps me coming back, just wish it wasn't so short.

Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - Hobospartan - 06-28-2010

well than lol at you  Tongue

Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - copulatingduck - 06-28-2010

yea, all i've been doing is adventure. but it still gets repetitive really quickly. :\

still, 2 bucks was a fantastic deal for something i can use to kill time waiting to go places

Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - Spore - 06-28-2010

Alright, one of my buddies told me a little secret about gifting any duplicate game you want. If you buy a pack as a gift and send it to an email address it will give a little activation link for each individual game. You take the links you want and pass out your duplicates to pals. He hasn't tested it yet, but apparently this is supposed to work. So, next time somebody tries it lets see about it. If it works we can get some real summer gifting going.

Edit: Friend reports it does not work. Blames sickness.

Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - beep beep diglett - 06-28-2010

duck, play hardcore mode. basically gives you 45 adventures so not all your games are so similar

Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - copulatingduck - 06-28-2010

haven't tried hardcore, mostly because I'm constantly outnumbered and outgunned. Once I get a little better maybe I'll give it a shot

Re: Steam Summer Sales Blowout - BS1 - 06-28-2010

Still waiting for a daily deal that really catches my eye, if I don't find a good daily deal I may buy the THQ pack.

Hardcore is awesome, definitely more challenging buuut:

It took me 57 mins to play to the end (terminal space cancer), and by that time my fleet was one destroyer, 2 torpedo gunships, a dreadnought, and 2 battleships.  Was waaay more fun than the super short normal adventure.
